About Us

Jade China specialises in Xinjiang Hetian jade industry, dedicated to bringing the world authentic Hetian jade sourced deep within the Kunlun Mountains. Hetian jade originates on the northern foothills of the “Ancestor of Ten Thousand Mountains”, the Kunlun Range. High‑quality nephrite deposits stretch for 1,300 km across Hetian, Yutian, Qiemo and Ruoqiang in Xinjiang. Known as “the land of gold and jade”, Xinjiang is China’s most celebrated jade‑producing region.

“Jade comes from Kun‑Gang.” —‑Yu Gong, Book of Documents

The most renowned jade‑producing area of the Kunlun Mountains is the Hetian region. Located at the northern foot of Kunlun and the southern edge of the Taklamakan Desert, its unique geography creates ideal geological conditions for forming Hetian jade, yielding nephrite of exceptional smooth texture and remarkable toughness.

Kunlun Mountain Sources · Millennia‑old Heritage

All raw materials for Jade China are sourced from our owned and cooperative jade mines across the Kunlun‑Altun mountain range in Xinjiang, including the high‑quality Akqig mine in Cele County. Dominated by tremolite‑actinolite minerals, Hetian jade features fine texture, rich oily lustre and gentle colours, covering white jade, greenish jade, jasper, black jade and yellow jade. Among them, mutton‑fat white jade is the most precious variety: waxy creamy‑white in colour, densely textured with fatty‑waxy sheen, representing the finest grade of white jade.

Every summer, when mountain snow melts and mine roads reopen, our jade‑hunting teams travel high‑altitude mines amid harsh alpine conditions. Unlike conventional ore deposits, jade veins are scattered and difficult to exploit, making every premium rough‑jade piece hard‑won. Each year we select the finest Hetian jade roughs from mines. Some are crafted into high‑end jewellery and jade‑carving artworks by distinguished domestic and international master carvers. Others are made into oriental‑aesthetic jade ornaments and collectibles. All finished pieces are sold globally exclusively through Jade China.

🏔️ Kunlun Mountain Sources

Raw jade originates from the northern foothills of Xinjiang’s Kunlun Mountains, covering premium mining zones along the White Jade River (Yulongkash River) and Black Jade River (Karakash River).

🎨 Eight Major Jade Varieties

Following national standards, our collection includes mutton‑fat white jade, white jade, bluish‑white jade, green jade, yellow jade, sugar jade, jasper and black jade.

📜 Ancient Jade Road

Hetian jade pioneered ancient trade routes connecting inland China with borderlands and the East with the West. The “Jade Road” predates the Silk Road, with a history spanning over 6,000 years.

🔮 Rarity & Value

Annual output of Xinjiang Hetian jade seed material is less than 5 tons. Top‑grade seed white jade can reach 100 000‑500 000 RMB per gram; scarcity continuously drives its market value.

Family‑run · Heritage of Craftsmanship

Jade China is a family‑operated brand founded out of deep reverence and passion for Hetian jade culture. For decades we have been rooted in Hetian, Xinjiang. Working closely with local jade‑carving families and mine inheritors, we have built a complete industrial chain covering mountain mining, rough‑jade selection, artistic carving and global retail.

—‑ Bridging East and West through Jade —‑

We believe every piece of Hetian jade carries the spiritual essence of Kunlun Mountains and memories of Chinese civilisation. From ancient Hetian jade axes unearthed at Loulan Neolithic sites to over 700 jade artifacts discovered in Lady Fu Hao’s Shang‑dynasty tomb, Hetian jade has accompanied Chinese civilisation for thousands of years. Today we act as guardians and messengers of this ancient heritage, bringing the gentle charm of Kunlun jade to the world.
